Homemade Eggless Cake Recipe

More often than not, vegetarians or people who do not intake eggs due to reasons have to give up on their sweet cravings. It is because many people do not eat eggless cake from the bakeries because of the trust factor, is it really 100% eggless? Other factors being the hygienic levels, price, and sheer love for homemade cakes. 

For all such people out there, we have listed three eggless cake recipes in most relished flavours, i.e. vanilla, chocolate, and marble cake (the perfect blend of vanilla and chocolate). Without wasting a second, let’s get started with tasty eggless recipes.

Vanilla Cake

Ingredients: 

  • 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup curd
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps to Bake

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degree celsius for about 10-15 min. 
  • Grease the cake tin with oil or butter and sprinkle maida (all-purpose flour). 
  • Sift all-purpose flour in a large bowl. 
  • Add curd, sugar in another bowl and mix until smooth. Add baking powder and baking soda to the mixture. 
  • Mix well and let it sit idle for at least 5 minutes. Upon being activated, the bubbles will start to appear. 
  • Now add oil to it. You can take any cooking oil, sunflower, olive, etc. 
  • Add sift flour to it and combine well. If you think the batter is thick, pour a little hot milk and then combine. 
  • Once you get a lump-free batter with the right consistency, add vanilla extract and mix well. 
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake tins. 
  • Bake the cake for 35-40 minutes. If you do not have an oven, you can cook it in a cooker. 
  • Take the toothpick test to check if it has baked properly. 
  • Take it out and let it cool.

Chocolate Cake 

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup condensed milk/milkmaid
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 ½ cup all purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt 
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • ¾ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup warm milk or as required. 

Steps to Bake 

  • In a large bowl, take condensed milk and butter. Beat it in one direction until smooth and fluffy. 
  • In another bowl, sieve all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder and baking soda. 
  • Fold these dry ingredients into the wet batter. Mix gently. 
  • Furthermore, add vinegar, vanilla extract and warm milk. 
  • Combine until you get a smooth batter. 
  • Chocolate cake is not highly sweet. If you want you can add ½ cup sugar or as desired. 
  • Pour the batter into the cake tins. (Before pouring the batter, grease the tins and line with parchment paper). 
  • Bake the cake at 180 degrees celsius for 20-25 minutes or until the toothpick inserted comes out clean. (Preheat the oven first for 10 minutes). 
  • Let the cake cool down completely. 
  • If you want, you can decorate the cake with chocolate chunks, gems, and fruits. You can also pour ready-to use chocolate syrup or choco-chips.

Marble Cake 

Ingredients

Vanilla Cake Batter 

  • ½ cup yogurt 
  • ½ cup sugar 
  • ¼ cup oil 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • Pinch of baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt 
  • 2 tbsp water

Chocolate Cake Batter

  • ½ cup yogurt 
  • ½ cup sugar 
  • ¼ cup oil 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • Pinch of baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder 
  • Pinch of salt 
  • 2 tbsp water

Steps To Bake 

  • Prepare separately vanilla and chocolate cake batters. 
  • Take a greased cake tin. Put two scoops of vanilla cake batter into the tin. Then, on top of vanilla cake batter, pour chocolate cake batter. 
  • Alternatively, repeat the steps. First vanilla cake batter, then chocolate cake. Allow it to spread naturally. 
  • Using a toothpick, you can make any design without disturbing the layers. 
  • Pat the cake tin, and place it in a preheated oven. 
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes. 
  • Cool the cake and then serve.
